I hope everyone has been enjoying their summer! The return of most things to the “normal” condition has sure been a relief, or at least it was it until recent upticks in COVID-19 cases. The health and wellbeing of our employee-owners and visitors is our highest priority and we are closely monitoring CDC and Minnesota Department of Health guidelines.
As travel restrictions have changed and tradeshows are happening once again, MFI has been busy this summer planning our trade show exhibitions. We’ve designed a new booth and debuted it at the Design & Manufacturing show in Anaheim, CA this month. We are also exhibiting at the Rapid + TCT show at McCormick Place in Chicago on Sept 13-15. It feels good to be able to visit with our customers in person and showcase our HZ-Series machines again!
As we continue to work with our vendors on supplying product to meet our deadlines, we are finding the price increases are beginning to be more than MFI can absorb. We ask for your understanding and patience as we implement new prices on equipment, parts, media, and compounds. We are beginning to see some signs of improvement on the lead time of components needed for our assembly, but we are still quoting longer lead times than normal. I assure you that we are working hard at meeting your deadlines.
