Have an MFI part finishing machine that’s served you well over the years, but you’d really like to add the benefits and capabilities of a brand-new machine? Whether it’s buried in the back of a warehouse or currently running on the shop floor, we’ll take those machines. We will give them a modern makeover to covert these into like-new refurbished machines while offering a cost-effective, sustainable solution for older equipment.
That makeover goes beyond just cosmetic upgrades. We’ll disassemble each machine down to its core components, strip the old paint, and finish with fresh powder coating – giving it the look, operation and production capability of a brand new machine. Whether it’s a legacy model that has been operating for 30 years or a newer machine ready for an upgrade, nearly any MFI system can be revived, enhanced with modern features, or recycled for trade-in credit.
With MFI’s machine refurbishment program, you can transform your older equipment into a like-new machine for less than 30% of the cost of a new one. That’s a massive return on your original investment—without sacrificing performance, reliability, or modern capabilities.
Refurbishing versus replacing
We launched our machine refurbishment program in direct response to our customers’ needs. As more and more of our customers demanded new MFI equipment, we realized that we could refurbish what they already had in their facility, providing the latest MFI features at a savings of 70% or more compared to a new machine.
Not only is there a cost benefit to refurbishing a previously used machine, but it also allows customers to upgrade older equipment with today’s latest accessories without having to start from scratch. This also shortens lead times because refurbishing an existing MFI machine usually takes about 1-2 weeks, depending on what work needs done to it.
The refurbishment process: Built to perform like new
Our process is thorough from start to finish. Every machine we refurbish is completely stripped, cleaned, repainted and rebuilt, then shipped back to its original home. By refurbishing an older machine, not only does it maximize its overall lifespan, but it also helps reduce waste. Customers also have the option to upgrade their older machine with new component upgrades and safety features, including new variable frequency drive (VFD) controllers. Plus, just like our newer machines, our refurbished models come with our unwavering customer support for the lifetime of your machine.
More than one way to recycle a machine
Your current MFI machine may be an excellent candidate for refurbishment—restoring it to like-new condition. However, some customers prefer to trade in their older equipment rather than invest in refurbishment. Whether your application requirements have changed or your production volume has increased, MFI is ready with a flexible solution. We gladly accept trade-ins and apply credit toward a new machine, giving you access to updated technology at a fraction of the cost of our latest models.
