The PV Series is Mass Finishing’s most economical line of vibratory finishing tubs. Available in 0.75, 2.5, and 5 cu ft sizes, these machines deliver reliable deburring and polishing with the lowest entry cost—and the quietest operation in the lineup.

All PV models run under 85 dBA, making them suitable for shared shop spaces without hearing protection in most cases. This low noise level is built into the design through cast-urethane ribbed linings and a welded steel base that reduces vibration.

Each unit plugs into a standard 110V outlet, includes caster wheels, and is fully self-contained—no external water, air, or special electrical setup needed. They can be put into operation the same day they arrive.

From the compact PV-0.75 (bench-top friendly) to the PV-5 (comparable to the W-5 at a lower cost), the PV Series meets small-to-medium finishing needs for shops focused on simplicity, value, and quiet performance.

About the PV Series Vibratory Tubs

• The PV Series uses a 2700 RPM vibratory eccentric shaft to generate controlled vibration in the polyurethane-lined tub. Parts and media tumble in a continuous rolling mass—media surfaces contact every exposed part surface, gradually removing burrs, rounding edges, smoothing tool marks, and improving surface finish. The process is the same proven vibratory finishing principle used in the W-5 and across the industry, but the PV Series achieves it with a simpler, more cost-effective design.
• Operation is straightforward: load media and parts, add water and compound if running wet (or load dry media for dry applications), and turn on the machine. The cast-urethane-ribbed tub lining absorbs vibration energy and reduces noise—keeping operational levels consistently under 85 dBA. When the cycle is complete, separate parts from media manually or using the optional PV Media Separator accessory.
• The PV machines are built on a fully welded 14-gauge steel base with enamel paint finish. The construction is straightforward and durable—designed for years of daily use without complex maintenance. There are no hydraulic systems, no PLCs, and no electronic drives to service. Simplicity is the point: these machines do one thing (vibratory finishing) reliably and affordably.

Basic Operation

Utilizing a 2700 rpm vibratory eccentric shaft, the PV Series creates a powerful vibratory action in the polyurethane-lined tub. Inside the tub, abrasive or non-abrasive media rolls in a large mass, providing a gentle yet thorough finish on your parts. Simply drop your unfinished parts into the mass and let the PV Series Vibratory Tub do the rest. After a specified amount of time, your parts will be removed and left smoothed and free of sharp edges and burrs.

PV-2.5: The mid-size option and the most popular PV model. At 2.5 cu ft, it handles meaningful batch volumes while remaining compact and affordable. The go-to choice for shops that need everyday deburring capability without the footprint or cost of a larger machine.
