The OMTEC Conference remains one of the premier events for medical device manufacturing professionals, bringing together engineers, manufacturers, suppliers, and industry experts to discuss the latest advancements in medical technology. This year’s event provided another excellent opportunity for the Mass Finishing, Inc. team to reconnect with customers, meet new manufacturers, and demonstrate how automated finishing solutions can improve production quality and efficiency. Representing MFI at OMTEC 2026 were Inside Sales Representative Dave Morschen, Outside Sales Representative Mike Marketon, and General Manager Marci Theisen.
Bringing Live Finishing Demonstrations to the Show Floor
One of the highlights of our booth was the HZ-6 Centrifugal Barrel Finishing Machine, which was running throughout the event with live demonstrations. Rather than simply talking about the benefits of centrifugal barrel finishing, attendees were able to watch the process in action and see how precision parts can be deburred, polished, and improved with a speedy and repeatable process.
We also displayed before-and-after medical components, giving visitors a side-by-side comparison of finished parts. These examples helped illustrate how consistent surface finishing can improve part appearance, remove burrs, smooth edges, and prepare components for downstream manufacturing processes. For many attendees, seeing actual production parts alongside a working machine made it easier to visualize how mass finishing could fit into their own manufacturing operations.

Learning Beyond the Booth
In addition to exhibiting, our team participated in a networking event focused on building stronger relationships within the medical manufacturing industry. Events like OMTEC are valuable not only for showcasing technology but also for learning about emerging challenges, exchanging ideas with industry peers, and better understanding the evolving needs of medical device manufacturers. These conversations help us continue developing solutions that address real-world production requirements.
It’s Always Great to See Familiar Faces
One of the most rewarding parts of the show was reconnecting with many of our existing customers. Several companies currently using MFI equipment had booths at OMTEC, and many took time to stop by and visit with our team.
We especially appreciated hearing firsthand how satisfied they are with their MFI machines. Positive feedback from customers who rely on our equipment every day reinforces the importance of providing dependable machinery, process expertise, and long-term support. There’s no better endorsement than hearing customers share their success stories directly with prospective users on the show floor!
Thanks for Stopping By!
Trade shows like OMTEC remind us that manufacturing is built on relationships as much as technology. Whether we were demonstrating the HZ-6, discussing finishing applications with engineers, attending educational sessions, or catching up with longtime customers, every conversation helped strengthen our connection to the medical manufacturing community.
We’d like to thank everyone who stopped by our booth, watched a demonstration, or shared their experiences with our equipment. If we didn’t have the opportunity to meet during the show and would like to learn more about how centrifugal barrel finishing can improve your medical manufacturing process, we’d be happy to continue the conversation.
