Mass Finishing Inc. (MFI) is thrilled to announce an enhancement to our HZ-40 and HZ-12 centrifugal barrel finishing machines – our new Tool-Less Lockdown Bars.
After numerous customer requests for a better solution to holding down the barrels, MFI started developing and testing the prototype over the past year.
The first bulk order for HZ-40 Tool-Less Lockdown Bars is set to arrive in mid-December, with future HZ-40 machines being equipped with this new feature. We will also be offering these new style lockdown bars for the HZ-12 centrifugal barrel finishing machines.

Members of our R&D Team utilized SolidWorks for the design of the Tool-Less Lockdown Bars, as well as a 3D printer to create prototypes. This design process involved several revisions, ensuring the final design met our standards for fit, finish, and ergonomics.
Compatibility & Installation
Installing the Tool-Less Lockdown Bars in existing machines is a breeze – no modifications to current machines are required. Our team is working on providing instructional videos and updating the user manual to facilitate a seamless transition for our customers.
