MF- 3FF Medical Grade Corn Cob utilizes a plant based substitute for the stearic acid used in our other cob blends. This means it’s free from the use of animal derivatives and safe to use in medical applications.
The medium size is considered a (10/14) mesh size with 10-14 pieces in one inch square.
Corn cob media is used in dry finishing processes. Its lighter weight makes it the ideal media for adding a finishing shine to your parts. Corn cob media is often used in the final stage of a tumbling process. Mass Finishing, Inc. offers plain and treated corn cob depending on your desired polish. Our treated corn cob medias are typically used for acrylics, aluminum and precious metals like gold and silver but can be used in many other processes as well.
